HI my Traveling Anchors,
Recently my hubby and I went on vacation to Dubai for 10 days! We went to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and our trip was spectacular! Being back home after less then day I miss Dubai so much. It was the longest flight both of us took and it was the most exotic city we visited. I highly recommend it as a place to visit. Dubai is known as the city of MONEY, and it def. lives up to its name. It is a very fast paced city live with a mix of cultures. I would best describe it as Miami and New York mixed into one city. I relate it to Miami because of the weather, palm trees, beach and having to drive almost everywhere you go. I relate it to New work because it has that fast pace lifestyle and some areas are flooded with people. Me being a city girl I loved everything about it and fit right in. Lets get into the details of our trip. Our flight was 16 hours long and had a layover in Toronto, we arrived in Dubai the following day after we left at 7 pm. We were exhausted so we ordered room service, took a few pictures, unpacked and called it a night. The following day we had a city tour booked at 1 pm, gave is enough time to get a full nights rest and relax by the pool. The city tour was nice to give you an idea of the city, souks and do some light shopping. It was not our favorite tour but its because we like to do our own thing but overall it was a nice way to start exploring Dubai. The next days to come were the exciting parts of our vacation. We went dune riding, camel riding ( my favorite part) , watch my husbands youtube channel to see my reaction camel riding. We also went to the Dubai mall several times because you cannot see the whole mall in one day, it has over 1600 stores and it is massive! Our vacation included a trip to the top of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world and we also had an amazing anniversary afternoon tea at the Burj Al Arab. Another tour we did was a full day at Abu Dhabi, where we visited the Grand Mosque which is a breath taking experience. In between our planned days we had plenty of days just to relax and sleep. One day when decided to explore the city like locals and we took the metro then the tram to Atlantis on Palm Jumeriah. To us a vacation is getting in on not just the touristy parts but experience life as a local. Overall the trip was amazing and I cannot wait to visit again.
